Speaking from Experience
Adi Mendiola Barreto (they/he) is a 2nd generation Mexican and Puerto Rican, queer, and trans speaker, facilitator, and embodiment practitioner.
Balancing vulnerability, authenticity, data, and reality, Adi often uses storytelling to help challenge and shape people’s perspectives on LGBTQ+ issues. Adi's career started in grassroots organizing for LGBTQ+ homeless youth in Chicago back in 2010. Since, Adi has worked in crisis communications, employer branding, and technology to help companies and organizations increase their representation and sustain environments where everyone can feel like they belong. Adi deeply desires a world where all of our needs are met, where we are seen, valued, and celebrated as our most authentic selves.
Adi received their BA in Public Relations with a minor in LGBTQ+ Studies. They are most likely dancing and/or eating salsa as you read this.
